Racism as a Public Health Crisis

This is the second part of Christie VanHorn’s Public Health Webinar series. Upon completion of the webinar, we kindly ask all those who participate complete a training evaluation.
The impact of racism (implicit, explicit, and systemic) on the lives of Black people was amplified during the COVID-19 pandemic, but these disparities have long existed. During this presentation, we will discuss the systemic health and social inequities that have resulted in the health disparities we see today. Case studies on maternal health, environmental threats, and redlining will be shared.
