Healthcare career exploration can start at any age. NAHEC hosts programs for middle and high school students, as well as adults who are interested in learning more about a future career in a health profession, and offers hands-on opportunities for students who are already enrolled in a health careers program.

NAHEC offers courses and workshops in person, online, or through utilitzing virtual tools, and covers a wide range of topics from CPR to Narcan training.
NAHEC works with organizations to host educational events which address community health focused issues and and provides healthcare training opportunities on a range of topics.
NAHEC is also participating in the Opioid Prevention Education Project, with the goal of bringing the community together to take meaningful action against the opioid crisis.

As part of the larger New York State AHEC System, NAHEC is one of nine centers in the State of New York offering statewide capacity for addressing healthcare workforce needs. NAHEC serves Jefferson, Lewis, St. Lawrence, Franklin and Clinton counties.
