Ten students in grades 8th-12th from across St. Lawrence County participated in a MASH Camp at St. Lawrence Health’s Canton-Potsdam Hospital on Aug. 31 and Sept. 1.

The students learned about healthcare careers through tours and hands-on activities in various hospital departments, including Nursing, Physical Therapy/Occupational Therapy/Speech Language Therapy, Laboratory, Imaging, Pharmacy, and a department of the student’s choosing. Students also participated in CPR Certification at the end of their second day.

The event was coordinated by St. Lawrence Health and Northern Area Health Education Center (NAHEC). Stay tuned for future MASH Camp dates by following NAHEC on social media. Contact Whitney Callaghan, NAHEC Center Director, at whitney@nahecnet.org with questions regarding upcoming events.
