Experiential opportunities provide students with a great opportunity to explore career interests with a variety of employers.
Experiential opportunities are career exploration activities in which a student is placed at a community business or medical facility and paired with an employee, observes the workday of that employee, interacts with clients or customers, and attends meetings and other appointments with the person they are working with. Experiential opportunities are designed to help students explore a field of interest while developing skills and building occupational knowledge.
This program is open enrollment, there is no deadline.
Opportunities occur over most of the workday, are conducted at the workplace, and provide the opportunity for the student to ask questions of the person being shadowed throughout the day. While most opportunities are conducted over the bulk of the workday, variations exist, including allowing a student to rotate through a number of different departments over a number of days.
We currently accept high school or college students.
